Laland Baptiste provided full Construction Management Services for the Hudson River Waterfront in Yonkers, New York. This area is the destination of five-star restaurants, waterfront parks, musical events and the award-winning Saw Mill River “daylighting” project at Van der Donck Park.
Yonkers Waterfront Streetlight Replacement Project

Laland Baptiste provided full Construction Management Services for the Hudson River Waterfront in Yonkers, New York. This area is the destination of five-star restaurants, waterfront parks, musical events and the award-winning Saw Mill River “daylighting” project at Van der Donck Park.
The Laland Baptiste team managed the construction of the waterfront streetlight replacement and site restoration along the Hudson River Waterfront that experienced damage as a result of Hurricane Sandy. The site spans 1-mile along the Hudson River, and involved the comprehensive replacement of all storm damaged equipment including streetlights, decorative lights, conduit, wire, panels and controls. The site restoration work included the replacement of the wood boardwalk and decorative pavements throughout the project area. The services that Laland Baptiste provided included:
- Construction Management services
- Construction Inspection
- Managed the General Contractor and the Electrical Sub-contractor
- Offered recommendations to the Owner as needed
- Supported the City’s documentation to FEMA to ensure the client’s maximum reimbursement
