Laland Baptiste is providing Project Management Services for the upgrades to the Department of Transportation’s regional facility in Garden City, New York. The facility operates 24/7 and it is particularly busy in the winter months. The construction work is carefully coordinated to minimize disruptions to the facility’s operations. The project upgrades include but are not limited to:
- Removal of an existing high-level loading dock
- Reconstruction of the 300-foot long structure with a new garage floor at grade for heavy truck maintenance
- Outfitting the facility with electrical and MEP upgrades including a new radiant heat system in the new garage floor.
- Structural work including framing for new garage doors, split-face CMU water-table and decorative steel cladding
As project manager, Laland Baptiste is providing supervision and inspection services, including management of the project schedule and cost.
