New York City School Construction Authority (NYC SCA) – Emergency Management Program

Laland Baptiste provided site representation, project management, and site inspection services to the New York City School Construction Authority for their Emergency Management Program. In an effort to restore and rebuild the damages created by Hurricane Sandy, the New York City School Construction Authority developed a program to address the concerns of the City’s public schools.
The scope of work includes:
- Environmental Remediation
- Mechanical Replacements and Upgrades
- Structural Remediation
- Storm Mitigation
- Facade Replacement
- Interior/Exterior Renovations
Laland Baptiste provided site representation, project management, and site inspections for many of the NYC Public Schools throughout the five boroughs.
Laland Baptiste played several roles on this project, which included assisting the contractors with their daily operations, allowing them to keep the projects moving forward. We also mentored several contractors on the SCA policies and procedures and assisted them with all aspects of the project, including permitting.
