Many students in New York City and State will have more supplies at their fingertips thanks to the donations to a school supply drive organized by Laland Baptiste and Baptiste Engineering.
The two companies collected one thousand supply items and kits through the drive. They will benefit the students and teachers at the Bay Family Center and the Junior High School 383 Philippa Schuyler in Brooklyn, the Buffalo Engineering Awareness for Minorities (BEAM), Ocean Avenue Elementary School in Northport, the Urban League of Rochester, and the Smith Street School of Uniondale, New York.
Laland Baptiste and Baptiste Engineering had such tremendous success and feedback from the 2020 Holiday Toy Drive; they thought that putting something together to encourage the community to provide school supplies would help get students off to a great start this fall. They received donations from staff, clients, friends and families. Some of the donated items included 16-inch backpacks, notebooks, folders, crayons and more.
