Laland Baptiste’s Senior Project Manager provided construction management and oversight services for the fourth and final stage of the larger New York City Department of Environmental Protection Croton Water Treatment Plant in Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, New York. This phase of the project involved a new building and sitework on an 11.6-acre site encircling the water treatment plant with a new golf driving range facility.
The new work included:
- A 16,000 square foot golf club house
- Driving range with 55 tee boxes
- Tensile structural awning
- Retaining walls, gabion walls and landforms
- Excavation and regrading of large areas of the site
- Hardscape and plant materials
- Surface and parking facilities
- Pedestrian and golf cart paths
- On-site storm water collection/water filtration and water management systems to irrigate the site and surrounding golf course
- New utilities, utility connections, and the removal of temporary site utilities from previous construction phases
