Laland Baptiste, a premier New York Construction Management Company, is marking their 13th Anniversary. 13 years ago, founders Schillivia and Robert Baptiste had the idea to start up a construction management firm out of a small home office in Brooklyn, New York, with the aspirations of becoming a significant player in the AEC industry.
In the beginning, Laland Baptiste responded to countless Requests for Proposals and participated in endless networking. This hard work and dedication paid off after landing their first project, an upgrade of a residential stairway in the heart of Brooklyn, New York.
Laland Baptiste experienced great success with that first project, which led them to apply for the Minority and Business Enterprise (M/WBE) certification with the State of New York. After receiving the M/WBE certification, Laland Baptiste was offered the opportunity to be a sub-consultant for the Battery Park City Pier A project in New York, New York. With enormous challenges presented not only by the Pier A’s original state, but exacerbated by Superstorm Sandy, the team overcame these obstacles and completed an award-winning project.
Today, Laland Baptiste continues to grow and flourish. They have opened 4 locations in the five boroughs and throughout New York state and have hired a diverse team of professionals. Laland Baptiste is now a vastly successful M/WBE Construction Management firm and a common name in the AEC industry with numerous completed projects.
